Recycling, a process of converting waste material into new products, has become increasingly important over the last decade. The better materials are being seperated, the more valuable they become as raw material into new products.

The seperating, sorting, crushing or bailing of plastics and other recycled products is a process that involves many conveyor belts. Belting challenges involve heavy loads, sharp materials, aggressive chemicals, oils- and fats or the suitability for use with various scanners, sensors or cameras.

Besides the wide range of standard conveyor belts that YONGLI supplies to OEM's and end users inside the recycling industry, also a number of purpose made belts have already been proven succesfull for years.

  • Chemical resistance

Depending on the products that are conveyed, each conveyor belt can be exposed to a wide variety of chemicals. Each top cover material has a different resistance to the various chemicals. The better this can be identified, the better a product can be advised.

  • Oil- and Fat resistance

Something that is not always taken into consideration, plastic packaging can often still contain a lot their original contents. Therefore, conveyor belts should often have a proper protection to oils and fats. Besides the standardly strong resistance of TPU and TPEE belts, YONGLI also produces oil- and fat resistant PVC belts specifically designed for the recycling industry.

  • Wear resistant top covers

Conveyor belts can be easiliy damaged in cases where sharp items fall on the belt. This may tremendously reduce the belt's lifetime leading to more standstill and higher maintenance costs. To prevent this, conveyor belts with hard and wear resistant TPU or TPEE top covers can be installed at applications coming into contact with sharp products.
