Product Marketing Manager – Light duty conveyor belt

STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

SALARY RANGE: Negotiable

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales & Marketing




The PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER supports the sales and marketing team in United States by managing a suitable product portfolio of light duty conveyor belt, building relationships with key end use customers and other key business partners. That also includes preparation of sales product portfolios, manage, and improve general pricing policy, and regular and ongoing communications with R&D in Headquarter for product development to help grow the YONGLI America sales. 



  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field.
  2. Product marketing, technical sales experience in light duty belting industry is highly required, other industry can be industrial component and automation machinery. Good understanding of technical sales approach, product management is a plus.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  5. The ability to grasp strategic opportunities is needed along with excellent attention to detail. 
  6. Self-starter with the ability to operate freely without extensive supervision.
  7. Occasional travel internationally for training and meeting purpose will require a valid passport.

  9. Proficiency with MS Office Suite


  1. Define and implement the product strategy, roadmap, and product plan; prioritize roadmap and own accountability to execution.
  2. Own and collaborate on products go-to-market (GTM) message map and features and benefits (FAB) to ensure product exceeds business needs.
  3. Leverage voice of customer platforms to assess customer feedback, data, and analytics to improve the overall product experience; collaborate with customers to understand product gaps and how product is used day-to-day.
  4. Demonstrate expertise in relevant markets, product lines, and competition and conduct ongoing research to stay ahead of current trends.
  5. Create, draft, and confirm business requirements based on customer, sales team and business needs.
  6. Align with R&D teams to determine optimal product selection to drive long term roadmap goals.
  7. Lead product innovation and development to drive competitive differentiation and advantages.
  8. Collaborate with teams to create marketing plans which include product, price, promotion, print, digital, track, lead gen, and return on investment.
  9. Assist the end customer and other business partners with technical problem solving, machinery start-ups, and coordinate information from the headquarter.   
  10. Requires frequent travel in order to build strong relationships with key customers and with other business partners. 
  11. May provide quotes and information to customers and other departments in a timely and accurate manner
  12. Develop an in depth understanding of market segments, key customers, and the competitive landscape.
  13. Participate in industry events; attending tradeshows, e-conferences/webinars, and other industry associated events
  14. Communicate through National Distribution Sales Manager, Industry sales manager on any issues, problems, opportunities, successes and new products
  15. Serve as a customer information center for literature requests, catalog requests, technical detail, and cross-reference information.

This position works in a standard office environment as well as customer locations.  Involves sitting and standing for long periods, walking at will, lifting/carrying objects weighing less than 50 pounds, bending and reaching, close vision, hearing sounds/communication, speaking clearly and handling/grasping/fingering objects, and keyboarding.  This position occasionally works extended hours and requires extensive US and international travel.
