National Distribution Sales Manager

STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

SALARY RANGE: Negotiable

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales & Marketing




The National Distribution Sales Manager is a key role in the growth of YONGLI America. YONGLI America initiatives continue to gain traction and focus within belting distributors.

We are looking for someone with leadership, passion and experience selling to national and regional belting distributors or fabricator. This role sits within the Distribution Channel and will work cross-functionally with the product marketing team to create an effective push/pull strategy.


  1. 7+ years of experience and success selling to national and/or regional industrial component distributors – belting industry is highly preferred, other can be bearing, gear box, MRO distributor.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or directly related work experience
  3. Demonstrated ability for the art of technical sales: driving urgency, consultative selling and closing business
  4. Strong analytical and operational skills in executing distribution strategic plans that result in mindshare and revenue driven by distributor
  5. A solid and genuine understanding of technology, specifically relevant to belting industry
  6. Ability to create a long-term vision and engage key stakeholders to execute on that vision
  7. Ability to get things done in a fast-paced startup environment
  8. Strong team-player with proven track record of working effectively with all stakeholders
  9. Past experience building out a new vertical for a company, including managing a team
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  11. Positive mindset and attitude with a passion for rapidly scaling residential electrification
  12. Up to 60% travel may be required
  13. A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record


  1. Work with senior leadership to develop a robust belting distribution strategy and execution plan for assigned distribution accounts at national level.
  2. Develop relationships, execute supply level agreements, and sales and marketing plans with assigned accounts at both national and regional levels
  3. Lead regional sales team to achieve the sales target.
  4. Conduct regular business reviews and present outcomes to executive leadership
  5. Engage across all aspects of the distributors business
  6. Work cross-functionally to ensure programs are executed and supported by supply chain, product, operations, sales ops, marketing, and finance teams
  7. Understand and monitor industry trends and opportunities for YONGLI Belting to expand the business model within distribution
  8. Interacts with YONGLI America customers/prospects for the purpose of marketing and selling, evaluating performance and strength, delivery of customer product training, negotiating agreements, supporting customer product integration, and sales planning and forecasting.

Prepared to work outside normal working hours if required with 50%-75% travel required, may require international travel for training purpose as well. This position works in a standard office environment when making calls on the telephone or working with clients involving sitting for long periods, walking at will possibly through factories, lifting/carrying objects weighing less than 25 pounds, bending and reaching, close vision, hearing sounds/communication, speaking clearly and handling/grasping/fingering objects, and keyboarding.
